Exactly why I continue to do what I do Merle…

To give people something the THINK about 🙂

If you need anything… you know where to find me!

  3. Shelly, this is something we must keep in mind – ultimately it’s what we can give to help people that will attract them to us – as you say, there are loads of people just selling the systems – if we have a system and tools to sell, we must lead with our value.
thanks for that video – definitely food for thought 🙂

    Hi Shelly:
Thanks for that last video “Count on your value, not affiliate tools” It spoke to me very clearly,I am new at MLM,retired from what was my life’s occupation,do not know too much but at least I know I am in a ligitimate business and that the more I study, prepare and remember to help others before thinking of myself, the better off I will be and of course,I fell for the tools and bought a lot of them without having any idea which were worth getting and not suspecting that most of them are designed only to make money and not to help but I know better now and you reinforced that with the video. Thank you.

    • ShellyAllen says:

      You are most welcome Efrain!

Yes! You are in a legitimate business and when you put others first it becomes magical.

Even though you may have “fell” for the tools (we all have) just take it as a learning lesson and be glad that you will be able to guide your team members so they don’t fall into the same trap!

    Hi Shelly

Love the video, and I know exactly what you mean.

I am not saying they will not work for people, and I am always one for promoting learning, but, from what I can see people are only learning bow to promote the system, not their primary (MLM) business.

Soon the need to cover the costs of the system becomes more important than their primary business. Soon they are struggling more with both.

You have to tip your hats to the marketing guys behind these schemes, they can really sell it!

    Also, I think there is a secret……

To paraphrase Darren Hardy, ” There is a secret. We (used to) know it, in the 40’s and 50’s, but then Japan, China, A lot of the Asian countries discovered it, and have been kicking our buts with it ever since.

“The secret is to work your butt off. Do the hard work. Don’t look for the easy answers, or try to take shortcuts.”

    Something like that!

Or course, our tv adverts have been telling us for, 60? Years or so that the answer is with something that makes it easier, automatic, simple, or with shortcuts.

Then people who are in MLM, and are struggling, perhaps because they have not learnt skills, or will do the work needed, see these systems, which promise to take away all the hard work, or actually, you know, talking to people, and they get sucked in!

And of course, forgetting that to succeed, you need to work your butt off!

And lastly, the people in MLM, who sell “their” systems, where they say, (approx) I have only personally sponsored 102 in 15 years, have over 115,000 DownLine, and earn silly money a month, pay me so I can tell you how….. There is one that said he did less that 50 personally – or something low like that.

That is not a system! That is being so lucky in finding some who DID work, and a badly planned compensation plan that allowed you to scoop the prize, with little effort. (I am so glad our plan is designed to stop that, at the top, and at the bottom!)

Thanks for the video Shelly, very thought provoking!
