How To Tag First Name Only On Facebook

I noticed that Facebook is now allowing you to use just the first name of your friend in both your status update and the comments and you don’t have to use the @ symbol anymore.

You just have to capitalize the first letter of their name, add the next few letters…

Click on their name on drop down menu…

And then delete their last name from the post.

Thanks, that’s great to know. I’ve seen it on tags from other people and wondered how to do it. It feels kind of stuff using whole names, especially with family. Glad I can stop doing that now!

Sadly, for my account, Facebook has removed this very feature for the last few weeks. The strange thing is, it still works for my friends.
